At Huber’s INN Port Townsend, Kerryn, Christopher, Edward, Hugo and Fleur… : )

Traveling from Australia…this lovely family has been camping in Colorado…

Here, only Kerryn, Fleur, Christopher and Ed…

Now they came to beautiful Port Townsend -where Hugo will stay and explore our “Port Townsend way of life”  for a few months…

In the meantime, his family is  on their way to a lovely little cabin by Lake Crescent…And, back to Australia!!!

.

Although  Hugo -the talented musician -and other  handsome member of the family,  is missing  in these pics…we so enjoyed the brief company of  all of them, who are so  fun, and adventurous, that they even introduced us to the exciting Australian  Rules Football” (that Chris has played -AND  Ed plays!!!)…Have you ever seen a game like this???…Spectacular!…what do you say…Check it out!:

Here Rebecca, Patricia and little Miss Ardaea are totally prepared for the Port Townsend “summer” weather this evening with a very fun dinner at the AJAX restaurant…(Where you sing, dance, dine, wear hats, and joyfully entertain your fellow dinner goers -who entertain YOU… ; )

The 3 ladies  are all bundled up and ready to go out for dinner!!!…

.But it’s not the attire that warms them up…It’s their smiles that talk about true warmth…

.Joyful and beautiful, this couple celebrate life…And it is literal!

Sabrina, at some point in time, suffered a tumor that required an extensive operation on her brain…and has -with the loving support of David- not only totally recovered, but also helps young people find better ways and options for their lives.

It was a joy and a special treat to get to meet you and converse with you finding you much in touch with your brilliance and love  as you speak…as you live! : )

At Huber’s INN Portr Townsend, María Laura and Martín…from Ecuador…: )

.Amazing, wonderful people come to our town -and to Huber’s INN Port Townsend!…

We are thrilled and humbled to offer them our home for their stay : )

In this case, María Laura came from DC, where she works for the World Bank.  She came with her son Martín – visiting her from Ecuador -prior to entering college there : )

They have both enjoyed their trips through the world…and now, through our beautiful Olympic Peninsula…

..

And our very own Port Townsend…(Where they loved the splendid Japanese food at Ichikawa Restaurant…the woods and beaches -and Victorian  buildings at Fort Worden and the ice-cream at Elevated Ice Cream : )

Their happy smiles and closeness, talk about a fun, intelligent, endearing family relation that certainly seems to be the best basis for much joy and self-confidence!

May the continuation of your trip -and cruise to Alaska- be as much fun and delight as these days we’ve spent together -and may we see you back in Port Townsend soon, dear friends!

Marieke & Tim…at Huber’s INN Port Townsend… : )

With dreams of lakes and lovely hikes, Marieke and Tim visited PT this past week…

She, as a legal assistant -specializing in feminist legal issues-  is new to Seattle…

He, historian, artist and master tattooist, came from Philadelphia to visit her…

They enjoyed good food by the waters of the Port Townsend Bay… hiked beautiful parks together…and much enjoyed Port Townsend : )

It was very joyful to meet them…And I, personally, I’m appreciative for their fascinating conversation about “history updated”, people and costumes of olden times – and that what we inherit from them now.

May Seattle spark and laugh with you, Marieke…and may your trip to Philadelphia- Seattle-Port Townsend, always  be pleasant, easy and repeatable, Tim!… : )
