Is It All About Balance…?
On Port Townsend’s North Beach, this seems to be the theme., according to this very well engineered sculpture…
Being the miraculous beginning of what many of us call “a new year”, this element of balance seems to bring the message home.
May we aim to bring balance to our lives, putting the gifts of Life on one side of the scale (Breathing, for instance?”) …and appreciation and thankfulness on the other side; in perfect balance : )

In this day -that I, like so many others- decided to make special, I celebrate!
I celebrate you and LIFE (and DEATH, it’s dear counterpart)
I celebrate routine!
I celebrate genius!
I celebrate everydayness!
I celebrate the known -and then, the new!
I celebrate words!
I celebrate eyes locking!
I celebrate trees and flowers and cats and lady-bugs and everything else in the realm of Nature’s Creation
Yet…How can I sing the sweetness in your eyes -those some times I got to see it?
How can I dance to your friendship -and the thought of sharing this Earth with you?
How do I wrap your dreams in my love -so carefully, so carefully, that I get to see you seeing them bloom?
In this last 1 digit-ending year of the MILLENIUM! I celebrate I came to meet you.
I celebrate our lives have influenced each other somehow.
I celebrate your life in my heart!!!!
I celebrate my heart beating!

Poem…I’m Speechless…
I’m speechless…
yet
I’ll verbalize my discoveries
To share
My amazement
Of them
We
The beings made of star dust
Earth elements
And Divine breath
Come
To love
Enjoy
Affect
And be elements of change
And we fall in love
With life
And each other
And sing together
And cook
And grow things
That taste and blossom
And reflect the wonder of Nature
In our art
And our own personal ways…
Yet,
Like a kleenex
A poem published
Art
And our lives
Are….
DISPOSABLE!
Totally
Disposable!
Like in “now you are here
Now you are no longer…”
-And forever!
Disposable
As a kleenex
As a plastic fork
As thought
That found expression
DISPOSABLE!
-Knowing this-
I’ll aim for my life
To be like the sun
Light
As electrical discharge
Light
As a disposable kleenex
