You wonder… And you come to find they are HOPE!…An Idea of Michael Barley, ceramist, that Penny, from “April Fool -and Penny Too”; and ~ GreenPod/ Intelligent Environments ~building company- are fully supporting, to favor the Food Bank with a delightfully fun cake-share, Gallery Walk small-bowls-show, and Silent-Auction…
Meet your friends in charity and fun!… Come on March, 5th, from 11 am through 8 pm to ~725 Water Street, Down Town Beautiful PT!!!
Once inside this space, your heart and your eyes rejoice with delightful iron tables, ahead of you; and iron musical instruments (by Master Ray Hammer) dreaming of gardens in bloom…
AND… the small bowls greet you all over!!!
Because families and individuals came to this extraordinary gallery-space, to decorate their own creation: A little bowl for your soup?…Or for that little extra something to eat, you’ll save for tomorrow?
Whole communities, sat down to paint one little bowl at a time, for this special pro Food Bank bowl-event and Silent Auction…
On the 5th of February, all ages, and all avenues of life, conveyed at the Gallery for the fun of “creating art”…
All were welcome -and well tended by Penny, herself!!
And she appreciates them all… And with her own artist eyes has seen some excellent art examples come to ornate these charity-bowls!
Whether a 13 year old artist, or a pro ~ such as Max Grover! ; ) ~ might have created the piece; Penny appreciates them all…
“Mom, may I paint a bowl with you?”, seems to ask this young artist…
Serious artists, and Port Townsend neighbors alike, gathered to contribute to make this ” Food-Bank Decorated Bowls Event and Silent Auction” a success…
And “The Leader” takes the lead in sharing the news with the town!…Yet, YOU, PortTownsender already new it ’cause, “you heard it though the ‘grape-vine’ ”

To a delicious “bowl of soup” -Courtesy of “El Sarape” (which in Spanish is actually spelled “Zarape”), “Mystery Bay Catering”, and “Sidonie”!!!…While enjoying loafs of freshly baked bread from” Pane D’Amore” : )…if you choose to come from 5 pm, through 8 pm!!!!
It really doesn’t get much better!!!: Cake, friends and art from 11 am… AND yummy-hot soup from 5 pm through 8pm, while supporting The Food Bank!!!
