Have you ever dreamed of being in your garden, on a sunny morning, looking at a flower bed, to bring up your head to find a lovely Victorian Lady, with a lovely smile, and a wave of her hand, greeting you?
Well, this is what Robert and I enjoyed yesterday noon ~ when lovely Mrs. Sarah Chrissman – our very wise (and powerful) masseuse visited us for a short moment of ginger/lime drink and apples, under the trees!

We learned that Sarah’s latest activity has been the historical research necessary to document the new book she is preparing: A book on the history of those Victorians who lived originally in the house that she and her husband occupy today Up Town Port Townsend…

This past Monday, at the Chamber of Commerce Meeting, the town proudly presented the audacious work of two extra-ordinary persons:
Allison (“All-Is-On” ) Dey…and Aletia Alvarez.
Aletia…always bright and prepared to joyously offer but the best!
,
Allison…always brilliant, serene, and ready for the fun of living!

Just 4 years ago, Allison followed her dream of fascinating, engaged, mindful dancing…
It led her to what you or I could have seen as a long time wasted, very large, “strange” building…called “The Gym”…located at the Fort Warden park…Yet, there, in that very same place, she, saw her own beautiful vision: The Madrona Mind Body Institute!
2 young giants…
.
A few months (?) later, she met Aletia Alvarez -and they both must have sensed the power in each other’s soul- as they decided to start a partnership for dance.
No “demolished” premises put their spirits down…No difficulties stopped them!…They, bare handedly, started a grand act of love in the re-conception -and reconstruction- of “The Gym”…to have it become the magnificent “Madrona Mind and Body Institute” about which our city is now so proud.
They, the amazing creatresses of “a dream of dance come true” for all of us in town, are now example and respected business leaders at the Fort Worden business community, as well as the town business community.

In their appreciation for their own teachers (and the teachers of their teachers) they have brought to our Port Townsend, people from all corners of the world, looking forward to enjoy the unsurpassed quality of teaching we now have here!…With this, students all over the world, Allison and Aletia -and we, their PT students- have much enjoyed and profited from these unique, “top-notch” alliances.

No wonder our Chamber of Commerce, celebrated them inviting them as presenters -to a very attended meeting-room!

Heart-felt kudos and congratulations -specially in your very month (Allison was born on the 3rd day) of April, Alisson!- and always…

Bob Chandler is the creator of amazingly beautiful things in wood…
For instance…the magnificent detail in the joining of this frame…

His work speaks of thoughtfulness, thorough planning, long exposure to art in wood, acquaintance and knowledge of many schools of the world, AND, in one word, speaks of excellency!
His art implies full creativity -at the service of the object it frames -and the total assumption that it is meant to frame something precious for someOne….
Literally, “no corners are cut”…yet, to the contrary, infinite love is brought into joining patiently, harmoniously, wood to wood….
The artist knows his materials profoundly and, again, works them intelligently -and lovingly- every time….
Every single time….
What the creator aims to leave you with, is this desire to caress the wood!…
