Port Townsend Hai-ku Club at the Public Library…
Minimal and poignant. Just the core of it all!
Hai-Ku
Presently in the darling poetry-display at the Port Townsend Public Library…
Enjoy!
This is a style of succinct poems that choose just a few words, to tell you whole stories…
The Port Townsend Public Library becomes festive and intimate when celebrating this ancient art of Hai-Ku Poetry…
And the special Poetry Display corner, dresses up with depth, love and laughter in this month of June…
To me, it is moving and fascinating and fun to see the poems the poets wrote -and then, the poetry books they have produced -or use as inspiration….
Well known names is this field, dance their dance of poetry in the company of many others yet to be known in the world…harmoniously, joyfully, wisely…
And the Library is but celebrations…and dresses up all in green leaves for the summer…
Volunteer’s creativity blooms, once more, in gardens amongst the books!
And behind the counters, it blooms again in smiles and splendid service…
For those so well known in town as Janette Force, stupendous Directress of the Port Townsend Film Festival…
In the hearts (behind the hands and minds) of the many volunteers, who make our Public Library the splendid experience it is for each and all of us…
♥ Thank you, Port Townsend Public Library! ♥

Thank you for the photographs of the June, 2010 haiku exhibit in the Port Townsend Library. I also enjoy the other photos you have taken in the library, including the green foliage. One of my collages is on display in the library as well, as you walk through the front door, above the free, recycled magazines. Another collage reproduction of mine is upstairs. Sharon Lia.
Thank you for sharing your commentary here, Sharon Lia… Also for the up-wising about your collages… See if I can bring them to “The Peeps”!
Always love, light and laughter
