♥To-day, maybe the Universe will remind you that you’ve been given EVERYTHING… if you accept it…
Question: Will you accept it with gratefulness today?… : )
If you were born today:
You are positive and determined and sometimes stubborn and impulsive. Do not give way to moods… You are capable and energetic and like to be a leader. You are very affectionate and demonstrative, and require an understanding and constant love.

The magnificent color plentifulness of Fall…

Monica, faithful and infatigable Volunteer Coordinatress, spoke in her direct, efficient, loving way, about her vast experience with the PTFF…And how her being bussy with it, has not allowed her to see as many of the movies as she would have liked!…ha-ha-ha!…Those are the paradoxes of the game of life, aren’t they?
And again, we heard another Port Townsend Poet, read yet another heart-felt poem – inspired by the memory of the dear late friend of all of us: Jack “Peter” Simpson!
Also again, in the spirit of Peter Simpson, there’s always a dear place for a good laugh…
Tonight laughter was under the care of the elegant “Pet Wearer”, Nathasha, and her good looking -well dressed- companion from “Potsilvannia”…Sporting a heavy foreign accent, and an -even MORE foreign- love of chickens as pets, compliments, currency and more!
We DID laugh with them…
Thank you, dear “Potsilvannians”, welcome to our Port Townsend, your Sister City…
“A Deal is a Deal” is the tittle that appeared on the screen of the Up Town Cinema House..
.And: It was a good deal of a movie!
Congratulations for this first movie choice of the season, dear PTFF Ones!

In honor of Port Townsend, the PTFF volunteers AND Peter Simpson, Founder and late Director of the PTFF for the past 9 1/2 years…
The glorious PTFF -now under the loving -and sharp- direction of Terry Tennesen pre-started tonight at the Up Town Victorian Cinema House…
First, Mark Saran welcomed us all into the special volunteer’s evening…
Then he called out for those new volunteers of the PTFF of this year to stand up…And those who have volunteered for one year , and for two years, and three, four, five, six, seven, eight…of all the 10 years of the festival!
Moving, interesting and surprising to see how many persons have helped make this festival possible in each year of its illustrious life…
Terry Tennesen was spontaneous and fun to hear, in his brief on stage appearance, tonight…
Great “pre-start” for the PTFF…
Terry and all the loving volunteers, would just have lifted Peter Simpson’s spirits with their -so far- splendid togethernes, collaboration, and choice of movie for the “Volunteer’s Night”…
“A DEAL IS A DEAL” was the title of the movie…Unusual, interesting and not to be missed…

At the Port Townsend Wooden Boat Festival, all is grandiose and world-class -beginning with the marine cranes!
Al sailors are eager and ready…
Boats of all kinds and sizes -like this classic O’Day Mariner- proudly owned by Robert Huber since 1976- are ready to go!
They all align by one another at the “Boat Haven Marina”, to form their own small marine-forest…
And off we go!
From the water, you see hotels -like the Aladdin, roght on the water…
And here they come!
Back in town, on top, the tower of the Victorian -and still in fuction- Port Townsend Court House…
And interesting horizon views parade for your eyes only…
Sail boats -like foam at the crest of a wave…
But not everyone congregates…
And the sail-less ferry comes punctual to town, even today…
White swollen triangles here and there…dancing away…
Others, waiting…
And here they come in all their glory!…The wooden boats!
That ship slides on a universe of water sun-stars…
This ship, keeps it’s rounded body still on the water for a moment…
Oh, the beauty!…Even from far you can see the perfection of the wood work…
-And more so, as it approaches…
And you could almost touch the honey colored woods!
And you go around it in admiration…
And you delight in the sight of it’s Maple-leaf-flag, embelished by the sun and winds of the Port Townsend Bay…
And more wonders: Not only beautiful boats make this day special…Also the very unique new Port Townsend Maritime Center, opens its doors today to the world!
And the city is proud…
With a gabble roof, another jewel: the recently restored-to-perfection 1885 Clam Cannery…-converted now into a Livable-Art lush hotel: The Clam Cannery Hotel…
Down Town…right ON the water!
What a morning for canoes…
As far as buildings go, here’s part of the Clam Cannery Hotel -and the wooden old ferry pier -to become a pier for boats, yatchs, AND aquaplanes…Direct from DT Seattle to DT PT!
Again here comes the ferry…
But, the dreams hang from the masts…
And people come to see and share…
The love for perfection in wood-workmanship, put to the sturdiest test: The waters of the Port Townsend Bay… Of which, those who’ve sailed all their lives say that: “If you learn to sail in Port Townsend Bay, you can sail anywhere!”
